ARMeter Surface tracking through image recognition
ARMeter Surface tracking through image recognition
Place the card on the surface you want to measure. ARMeter will recognize the card and allow you to select the surface to work on. It can be any type of surface and at any inclination. ARMeter automatically switches between surface detection and card detection.
• Print the card images and cut out to use them in ARMeter's image recognition.
• The image should be between 2" and 2.75" on each side (5cm and 7cm).
• To use the recognition feature, you must use version 2.0 or higher of ARMeter.
• Bring the device's camera close to the image from the front until it covers at least 30% of the screen. The application will automaticallyi indicate that it is using the image to detect the work surface.
• Select the recognized work surface., then you can remove the card if you wish.
• Check that the virtual surface is correctly aligned with the real one. You can deduce it with the detection indicator or with the pointer shown by the application.
• In some devices, image recognition will work better with the autofocus option enabled in the ARMeter settings. However, autofocus may cause measurements to be less precise on some devices. It all depends on the overall quality of the device's camera.
